Our Approach

Our focus is exclusively on women because women can experience poorer cardiovascular outcomes compared to men.

We view heart health through a positive psychology perspective, which means focusing on your strengths, not your weaknesses. We get curious about what supports and challenges you, and then guide you with ways to promote your physical and emotional well-being

—caring for your body, heart, and mind.

Meet Heather

I have had the privilege of practicing as a cardiovascular nurse for over 30 years. I have found that women find it easier to recover or make lifestyle changes with caring support. Each person experiences health differently! It is my honor to work alongside women, promoting both their heart health and psychological well-being.

After completing my PhD in Nursing, I opened Sage Well-being as I saw a strong need for a women’s heart health initiative in Calgary. Currently, there is a disparity in the cardiovascular outcomes between women and men. Women are unique. Experts suggest the reason for this disparity is that women have been ‘under-researched, under-diagnosed, under-treated and under-supported during recovery’. We're here to change this!

At Sage Well-being we promise to provide you with compassionate and knowledgeable care.
